The Skills Development Department is one of the departments of the Deanship of Quality and Development. It represents the main body that specializes in providing skills development programs and developing the capabilities of university employees according to best practices, by providing training programs that meet their professional needs, and qualified trainers according to international training excellence standards.

The administration aims to spread the culture of skills development, training and sustainable professional development, identify the training and professional needs of university employees, provide training programs to meet the training and professional needs of the university’s human resources, prepare and qualify trainers according to international training excellence standards, establish effective training partnerships with training centers and relevant entities, and periodically evaluate the impact of training and its transfer to workplaces.

The administration has many capabilities such as an electronic training management system that enables the trainee to view training course information, register, evaluate the course and obtain the certificate electronically. It provides halls equipped with the latest technologies in the field of training in addition to the presence of certified trainers with specialized and training experience and competence at the university. The administration has obtained many international and local accreditations such as the International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT) accreditation for accrediting training centers and qualifying certified trainers and ISO accreditation in the field of quality management system - occupational safety and health and environmental management system, which ensures the provision of an ideal training environment according to international standards.

The administration has been keen on the continuous development of the training programs it offers to keep pace with the training needs of university members and societal changes, through preparing executive plans in the various training axes (technical, teaching, research, administrative, quality assurance and institutional excellence).
